Assistant Professor, PhD in information science

Hello! I am Petra Grd and I work as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics University of Zagreb. I received my PhD in information sciences in 2015 by defending a thesis titled "Two-dimensional face image classification for distinguishing children from adults based on anthropometry". My research interests mainly focus on biometrics, information security and digital forensics, but also on developing new educational programs in the field. I participated in numerous projects in my filed of research and wrote more than 40 scientific publications. Other than research, I also teach various courses at the Faculty of organization and informatics and work as a regular reviewer for more than 10 journals and conferences.

Information Security Services Education in Serbia

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

The ISSES project aims to improve the capacities of Serbian higher education institutions (HEI) in courses and programs specifically developed in the field of Information Security. The existing capacities are limited to introductory level courses organized at 3 out of 4 of the involved HEIs. Additionally, there are no laboratories specifically developed to support educational activities in Information Security. In the desired, future situation the HEIs will be trained by the EU-based HEIs to develop advanced courses and supporting laboratories.

OLAF carries out its mission by conducting, in full independence, internal and external investigations. While the number of investigations has remained fairly stable over past years, OLAF has recently experienced an increase in complex investigations. These investigations often target criminal organisations that exploit the technological progress in information technology and communication. In order to fight them successfully, there is a need to raise the level of competence of law enforcement officials in the area of digital forensics across the European Union. This training should give national forensics experts access to certification procedures recognised and accredited at international level.
